Overview

North Goa is the busy, social side of the state: long beaches, shacks, markets and nightlife from Candolim to Vagator and Anjuna, with quieter stretches at Morjim and Arambol. Season runs November to February; the monsoon is green, cheaper and very wet, with many shacks closed.

How to reach

  • By air

Check which airport your flight uses

Manohar International (Mopa, GOX) is the closest airport to the northern beaches. Dabolim (GOI) is the older airport in south and central Goa, a much longer drive. Several airlines have moved flights between the two, so check the airport code on your booking.
